Presence and Grace
Presence and Grace
Moses knew what was important. And I believe he learned what was important the hard way, through brokenness before God. Moses didn’t want to move from that spot unless accompanied by God. It reminds me of Peter when Jesus told him he could not experience Jesus unless Jesus washed his feet. Peter asked Jesus to wash all of him. He was instantly humbled when he learned it was a criterion for experiencing Jesus. Moses is the same way, aware of the only thing that counted – the presence of God. Isn’t that the lesson of the book of Exodus? It was the presence of God that made freedom happen. It was the presence of God that made miracles
worthwhile. It was the presence of God that spurred spiritual growth. And it was the presence of
God that put victory into all battles. The presence of God. His grace in all its forms.
His gift to us from Exodus.
